SUMMARY:
Claire Danvers has her share of challenges---like being a genius in a school that favors beauty over brains, dealing with the homicidal girls in her dorm, and above all, finding out that her college town is overrun with vampires. On the up side, she has a great roommate (who tends to disappear at sunup) and a new boyfriend named Shane, whose vampire-hunting dad has called in backup: cycle punks who like the idea of killing just about anything.
Now a fraternity is throwing its annual Dead Girls' Dance and---surprise!---Claire and her equally outcast best friend, Eve, have been invited. When they find out why, all hell is going to break loose. Because this time both the living and the dead are coming out---and everybody's hungry for blood.-Goodreads.com
This is a great series! It's one of those series that will appeal to vampire haters as well as Twilight fans! The action in this book kept me on the edge of my seat. There were some surprising twists and turns throughout the book that were super interesting. I started to feel like I was a part of Morganville, instead of just a bystander. I wasn't bored for a minute. I typically stop halfway through a series in order to catch up with some other series on my shelves, but this series I cannot put down.
The characters were as good as in the first book. Claire was strong and determined, which I love in female protagonists. Eve was as good of a friend as she was previously. I really like Eve, she's a pretty rocking goth! Michael is the ultimate boyfriend and friend. He really adds that feeling of protection to the rest of the Glass House roomies. Shane...he is surrounded by, excuse me, he is the problem in this book. I still love him dearly, but he really needs to get away from his dad. I think it's better to stay out of the vampires' way.
The ending makes me want to zoom right into the 3rd book! I really want to see what will happen next with Michael, Shane, Claire, and Eve. If I know Morganville, I know that there will be much more drama to come in the next books.
My Favorite Part: The whole drama surrounding how they were going to help Shane.
ALL iN ALL:
Do I recommend this book? Yes, this is a really unique vampire series.
Will I be reading the next book? Heck yeah. I'm glad I already have it!
Thank you for reading! I hope you are all having an amazing summer! Please follow me on twitter and on facebook! :D
